Prevention Advisor

Responsibilities

As a member of the overarching internal prevention service, you are responsible for further developing the entire safety policy for the Altez Group (locations in Tielt, Oudsbergen, and Bree, construction sites). You will be part-time supported by an EHS employee from HR.

You advise the employer on safety, prevention, and protection, in accordance with the legal provisions in Belgium, the Netherlands, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, France, and Germany.

This includes, among other things, the following tasks:

  • Accident analysis, risk analysis, development of preventive measures, maintaining the annual action and the overall plan
  • Conducting inspections both in production and on construction sites.
  • As a member of the CPBW, you inform the employer and employee and are responsible for correct administration
  • Responsible for organizing and providing safety training: first aid, toolbox meetings, forklift, reach truck, overhead crane, etc.
  • Active collaboration with the External Service for Prevention and Protection at Work to implement measures in the field of prevention and protection.
  • Environmental permits for the various sites.
  • Monitoring compliance with VCA standards & annual audits

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree with training as a Prevention Advisor level 2 or 1
  • Experience as a Prevention Advisor preferably with knowledge of industrial construction and/or metal production
  • Thorough knowledge of Belgian legislation. Basic knowledge of legislation in the Netherlands, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, France, and Germany is a plus.
  • Willingness to conduct site inspections in Belgium, the Netherlands, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, France, and Germany
  • Bilingual Dutch/French
  • Training as an environmental and safety coordinator is a plus
  • Holding the VCA VOL certificate
