First column placement for our new building in Oudsbergen

Our new office building, covering an area of 900 square meters, will not only serve as the group’s flagship, but also as a showcase of Altez’s expertise and its commitment to quality and innovation.
Attention is given not only to the working environment but also to training opportunities and relaxation.
The well-being of our employees and social interaction are central here, with the use of ergonomic workspaces that take acoustics and climate control into account.
Says Steven Bijnens, Managing Director Altez East / Head of Operations.

Architectural firm Buro B, known for its innovative designs, is responsible for the design and layout of the new office building.
Inspired by the elegance of Japanese architecture, we created a design that is both aesthetic and functional, says Rob Gijsenberg of Buro B.
By incorporating glass and concrete into the design, natural light is maximized, creating a sense of space and openness. The extensive use of glass combined with a concrete shell with well-considered openings reflects our appreciation for both aesthetics and functionality.

Rob continues: The emphasis on glass in the design allows us to bring in natural light, which benefits employee productivity. At the same time, the concrete shell provides protection against excessive heat and offers a sense of safety and stability.

Thanks to carefully positioned openings in the concrete shell, we are able to control the views both from the inside out and from the outside in. This creates a dynamic relationship between the building and its surroundings, optimizing both the view from within and the architectural integration with the environment.

All in all, this design not only reflects our commitment to high-quality architecture and sustainability, but also our vision of a modern and functional commercial building that blends harmoniously into its surroundings.

The project is made possible in part through collaboration with LG Beton and Meco Metal, partners of the Altez Construction Group. The new office building will be constructed on the same site, directly in front of the current Altez office building, which will be demolished at a later stage — all without disrupting the group’s operations.

The decision to build sustainably and circularly is a conscious one, says Steven Bijnens, with which we, as a company, aim to minimize our ecological footprint and maximize the reusability of materials. The new building will be constructed with energy efficiency in mind and will serve as an example of how companies can contribute to a more sustainable future.
