About us

Equestrian Projects resolutely chooses safe and durable stable equipment. Our 50 years of experience in the sector, has led us to have several types of equipment that meet all the requirements of both a professional and a private enthusiast.

Working in confidence

When a rider seeks a quality horse, he applies the same standards during his search for housing his beloved quadruped. The highest own are rightly set for this as well. In the world of horses, people work in trust. This is equally true when working with Altez Equestrian Projects. We, too, have had to build our trust through word of mouth over the past 20 years. Our references are our best advertisement. The most successful riders worked and still work with Altez Equestrian Projects, by far the leading construction company in the equestrian sector.

You dream it, Altez makes it happen

Pieter Vanthienen has been coordinating and supervising Altez’s equestrian projects since 2003. Sports stables, stud farms, horse clinics, you dream it, Altez realizes it. From permit application to integral completion. The total concept with an eye for safety and comfort for your horses to the aesthetic finishing to the customer’s taste, is the business model of Altez, where we follow up the integral project without worries for the customer.

Olympic champions and world champions

The projects evolved over the past decades from functional agricultural sheds to tasteful ecological stables integrated into nature. The first references from that era are under multiple Olympic medalist Tinneke Bartels in the Netherlands and two-time Olympic champion Franke Sloothaak from Germany. Also under the first stable of Ludo Philippaerts and Jan Tops, Olympic champion of Barcelona, is the signature of Geerkens-Hippico, what we now know as Altez Equestrian Projects, which also included stud farm Zangersheide and world champion Jos Lansink. Current top riders such as Pieter Devos and Niels Bruynseels are also building with Altez.

Cross-pollination

Top athletes always want to perform better. It is inherent in breeders, owners and riders that they permanently want to breed, purchase or ride the better horse. This existential search for that one unique horse with which to distinguish themselves extends to housing their passion. In all respects the bar is continuously raised, which makes Altez Equestrian Projects and trendsetter. In consultation with our (inter)national clients, each new project is a unique quest. This creates a cross-pollination between the experience of Altez and new ideas of the client.

500km

No obstacle is too high for Altez Equestrian Projects. Our references speak for themselves. Although there are practical limitations. The total concept of the principle key on the door, can be realized in a radius of 500km around our home base in Oudsbergen. Which does not mean that we cannot call on the know-how and decades of experience of Altez Equestrian Projects, which is consulted from America to Saudi Arabia.

Feasible and realizable

Architects possess enough creativity to meet the aesthetic needs of the client. Linking aesthetics to the spatial layout and functionality of a horse stable is the added value and core business of Altez Equestrian Projects. An additional advantage of our expertise and experience is that we know what is feasible and realizable in the Benelux and surrounding regions, for example, just in terms of permits. Therefore, we are often involved from the beginning of a project and make a feasibility study.

Project Development

This is how Altez evolved into project development. When existing farms cease their activities, we are regularly asked whether we can give the existing infrastructure another purpose. Then it happens that we enter into a partnership with the owner to reform his infrastructure into a stud farm and or stables, for example. This practice ties in with Altez Construction Group, which regularly works with investors developing business parks. We are increasingly being asked by real estate brokers to upgrade existing stables, to convert them to what the market wants: a larger indoor arena, more housing for the horses, more efficient layout of the stable. Altez tailors everything to suit the client and the horse.

Personal perception

Your stable as a calling card of the quality of your breeding and horses, that is the approach of Altez Equestrian Projects. Our projects reflect the personal experience and atmosphere of the client. That’s the big difference from a corporate industry project. All of our employees breathe horses. We know what is best for them and pair that with the client’s taste. Because of our hundreds of references, we can already give clients a clear idea of the different styles, colors and material choices. A distinct advantage is that we can work according to the principle of key on the door, where Altez supervises the integral project. Not only from the stable, also from the interior that goes up to lighting, outdoor arena, landscaping, fencing. Through our years of experience, we know what is best for your horse and link that to your taste.
